Security Science is based on leading edge security management, security principles and security technology, with a central theme of security risk and risk management.
The Security Science programs at ECU’s School of Engineering were established with the security industry in 1989, delivering its first course in 1991. Security Science offers unique security programs and is at the forefront of security science research, with a world renowned reputation. The Security Research Centre (SRC)
The School of Engineering is a leading member in the SRC, which was formed to integrate existing security research at Edith Cowan University (ECU). The centre's initial emphasis is on security technology, security management and security risk management. In addition, intelligence, physical security, building engineering and red teaming. The major areas of expertise in the School of Engineering group within the SRC are:
